MicroChip Music was created in 1996 to bridge the gap between computer technologies and musicians. As a performing MIDI musician, "Mark James" Leister found that computer stores lacked awareness of music software and MIDI while music stores lacked the technological expertise of computing.

Through both hands-on experience and training, Leister has earned a prominent reputation in the Eastern PA area, bridging that gap for musicians and consumers. Acquiring certification as an MCP, he has also provided solutions for small and medium sized businesses as a consultant. He has designed and implemented networks utilizing Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and legacy platforms for companies from 2 to 175 users.

Internet service offerings have featured W2K web server and security design and configuration in addition to website design, email and domain management.

MicroChip Music is a VAR Partner for TechData, Ingram Micro, Thinkware, ACCPAC and Computer Associates. Mark Leister is a QuickBooks Advisor.
